Sable

Active

2022

I don't know how these things entered my rodentry, but I decided to play with them a little while they're here. I love the Halloween-esque look they have! This line seems to be made up of a combination of the Brindle gene and Umbrous gene. I have always had both genes in my rodentry and haven't avoided crossing the two, but a random pairings of parents produced an ENTIRE litter of these super dark sable things.

I finally got a chance to breed them together and the litter produced regular Brindles/Yellows, and only a couple of sables, so it is definitely not consistent, and I must've gotten SUPER lucky to get an entire litter randomly! I don't know how long this line will last as it's not a line I was ever after to breed purposefully, but I'm enjoying it for now.
